Chris in Sussex I have a vague Jack the Ripper connection too! One of the suspects in the case was a lunatic pork butcher called Jacob Isenschmid (though the police called him Joseph for obscure reasons). His daughter Katherine was the 2nd wife of my great grandfather Charles Williams. nell

Sylvia sorry but there is no cure :( Take it from someone who has been known to look up census records for people while watching the History Channel. Mind you my OH is the same and while watching a prog on Jack the Ripper vaguely remembered an address they mentioned and found the 'main' suspect's sister living next door to one of his ancestors :))) Chris

Oh dear, is there a cure for this???? On going to bed, i usually read for about an hour and have just finished reading A Trust Betrayed by Candace Robb Its historical/mystery fiction set in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1297 and mentions John Balliol, Robert Bruce, William Wallace and King Edward (Longshanks) of England. But it also mentions a family of Fletchers (Alan, Besetta and Agnes)and my first thought was, i wonder if they could be my Fletchers, that is if i get back that far and then i came back to reality. LOL Sylvia
