Seeing the post about family bible on ebay reminded me that I have a bible for the HERBERT family, parents Charles and Eliza, discovered in a charity shop. I didn't have the heart to leave it there! Their first son died, and three other children are recorded (all in 1880s). Place names mentioned are Worcester and Norwich. Do get in touch if you think it might be your family. Jan |

Jan, maybe you could do a search in the name box and see if anything comes up. Have you found the family on the census? |

Thanks to Elaine the family has been found in 1891. Anyone interested in the bible should contact me. the info is being sent to David Herbert who is doing a one-name study. Perhaps he will be successful in finding a link. Thanks also to Mhairi who took an interest. Jan |
