HERBERT BIBLE

Thanks to Elaine the family has been found in 1891. Anyone interested in the bible should contact me. the info is being sent to David Herbert who is doing a one-name study. Perhaps he will be successful in finding a link. Thanks also to Mhairi who took an interest. Jan

I have looked for Charles on this site and can't find anyone who fits - but of course I am working with incomplete info!! But thanks for the suggestion. Jan

This could be Charles in 1881: Charles HERBERT Boarder U Male 23 Claines, Worcester, England Coach Body Maker Source Information: Dwelling 1 Julian St Census Place Heigham, Norfolk, England Family History Library Film 1341469 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 1949 / 69 Page Number 27

Seeing the post about family bible on ebay reminded me that I have a bible for the HERBERT family, parents Charles and Eliza, discovered in a charity shop. I didn't have the heart to leave it there! Their first son died, and three other children are recorded (all in 1880s). Place names mentioned are Worcester and Norwich. Do get in touch if you think it might be your family. Jan
