Found a family with Head and wife with one surname and 4 kids but they all have a different surname but it states son / daughter, not step son or anything. Did they state step daughter if they were or not? Pretty sure it's my family but the names have me confused.

I've got several instances of stepchildren being called children on a census. Have you got an earlier/later census to compare the children's ages and birthplaces? nell

Thanks for replies. Have now found the marriage so I know it's the right family. Now if I could only find her first marriage, I would be a happy bunny!! Only just started looking though so there's time yet. Thanks again.
