is there a way to obtain a birth cert

hi i wonder if anyone knows how i can obtain a birth cert if someone was born in ireland i have a 4xgreatgrandparent that i have not long ago discovered but to know who her parents were i need her birth cert to further my research any help on this matter much appreciated thankyou kerry ann |

Go to the home page and scroll down to Getting Started. Click on this. Then choose Civil Registration. At the end of this section is a bit about Irish bmds, which I think didn't start until 1855. nell |

If she was born 1827 then there is no way to get a birth cert as they didn't exist! You could find a baptism if you knew which parish she was born in. nell |
