Hi, I got so much help yesterday on Genes Reunited it was amazing. I'm going to push my luck & go for it again. My grans name is Lily Burman born 30 january 1926 in Birmingham. Her mom was Daisy Smith & her dad was Henry Burman. I believe her moms mom was Priest but not 100% sure. Can anyone help me get more detail & expand? Regards sarah |

The only way to be sure of parents is to buy the appropriate birth cert. You aren't back far enough to look on the 1901 census. |

You can buy copies of birth certs from the relevant local register office - if you know where the birth was registered. Or you can buy it from the GRO (General Register Office). BUT if you want to pay minimum cost £7 you need the GRO reference which would include year, quarter, registration district, volume and page numbers. These can be found in the GRO indexes, free to search on www.ancestry*co.uk nell |
