You can buy copies of birth certs from the relevant local register office - if you know where the birth was registered. Or you can buy it from the GRO (General Register Office). BUT if you want to pay minimum cost £7 you need the GRO reference which would include year, quarter, registration district, volume and page numbers. The only way to be sure of parents is to buy the appropriate birth cert. You aren't back far enough to look on the 1901 census. |

Hi, I got so much help yesterday on Genes Reunited it was amazing. I'm going to push my luck & go for it again. My grans name is Lily Burman born 30 january 1926 in Birmingham. Her mom was Daisy Smith & her dad was Henry Burman. I believe her moms mom was Priest but not 100% sure. Can anyone help me get more detail & expand? Regards sarah |
