The records for Navy up to 1922 are at TNA: www(.)nationalarchives(.)gov.uk You can download Navy leaflet. You will need to either go to TNA and search records for yourself or employ a researcher at £20 an hour to do the work for you. Janet

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to obtain naval records for someone who died at sea in the First World War? I have his service number from the Commonwealth War Graves site but am unsure where to write, or if I am allowed to ask for them? Thanks Sophie
