Can anyone tell me what kind of info you get on a death cert? Does it contain stuff like next of kin and parents or just cause of death? cheers c...x |

No does not usually contain next of kin etc. Usual items are date and place of death. Name and occupation of deceased. (BUT if a child it might say 'son of ...' and if a woman it might say 'widow of ...' or wife of ...). Cause of death (it also notes if there was an inquest) Informant - this may or may not be a relative. It is often NOT the nearest and dearest of the deceased. address of informant Anne |
