I use Legacy, its has a free version which has a load of different options, but don't think that is complicated because it isn't. It does everything I would want it to do.

PAF is free - I dont know what you have on there but with FT2005 you can add photos, print reports, trees, books, you get a webspace for your homepage. Its in Amazon and PCWorld both on line for about £29 at the moment.

Is Family Tree Maker better than the PAF from FamilySearch? What kind of reports does it have? Thanks Andrea

You can get it from anywhere that sells computer software. The basic program is enough although you can get deluxe versions as well. Kath. x

I got Family Tree Maker 2005 about a month ago and find it very easy to use, once you get used to it. You can print out all sorts of trees and reports etc. Kath. x

I think most of us use Family Treemaker 2005. Im pretty thick when it comes to technology and I am managing! Ive put all my info on plus photos and made a website homepage.

Can anyone suggest an easy to use Family Tree programme to record and display all my findings. I am using an American one at the moment but its very complicated and longwinded.
