if a women remarries..?

I have a divorcee who remarried in the forties and she is listed under both names Louise Cera or Tocqueville |

I've seen both options - and in one case 'Elisa Bloggs, previously Smith, formerly Brown' |

It would normally be in her first married name but not always. My cousin married using her maiden name when she remarried. |

Under her first married surname I think. This has happened in my searches twice. I didn't realize she'dbeen married before (to his brother) so had the same maried name twice, in one instance. Although I suppose years ago there was nothing stopping you from changing back to you single name. Linda |
