Member Since: January 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	A bit of local knowledge about Ilford, Essex is needed. One of my Wifes ancestors, William Monk, was a Licenced Victualler at the Blacksmiths Forge, Green Lane, Ilford in 1923. Does the alehouse still exist? Thanks Andy

	Not sure Andy. Have you looked on the Essex Pubs website. It has a list of pubs on there with many of the landlords etc. Not sure how far it goes though. I lived near Green Lane some years ago but can't remember it. But then again I was pretty young so probably wouldn't have taken it in anyway. Hope you get a more definite answer. Regards Diane
