I am trying to find info on James Warnes DOB 1855 Fritton in Norfolk He as far as I have been told served in India Norfolk Regiment. He was also the treasurer for the Salvation army I think around Talywain area of Monmouth in Wales where he worked as a saddler. Any one got ideas as to how or where I should look to confirm this. Thanks Sal from Oz

Try contacting The Salvation Army in London as they might be able to help you with your query.

I'm pretty sure the SA will be able to help you, particularly as he was/is a member. Their tracing service is listed on their website at www(.)salvationarmy(.)org(.)uk removing brackets first. Good luck! Mandy :)

The National Archivist has served in India lists, doesnt it. In Norwich there is an army museum. Google for info.
