Can anyone tell me which is the best website to use for purchasing birth certificates etc. I looked at 1837 online but they were £25 each, is this the going rate?

If you buy a cert from the GRO online (via secure payment) or from a local registrar, its £7, unless you want them to check details. I think that's about £11, including the cert. Surely if you buy via another website they have to get the cert from the GRO anyway. Cut out out the middleman and go direct. nell
