If you buy a cert from the GRO online (via secure payment) or from a local registrar, its £7, unless you want them to check details. I think that's about £11, including the cert. Surely if you buy via another website they have to get the cert from the GRO anyway. Cut out out the middleman and go direct. nell

Can anyone tell me which is the best website to use for purchasing birth certificates etc. I looked at 1837 online but they were £25 each, is this the going rate?
