In someways it's sad, but it is sometimes easier to find someone who is dead, than someone who is alive. One site which i found my Granfather is the "Commonwealth War Graves Comission". The site is www.cwgc.org |

It was through the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's website, and the Daily Express that had an article about it, that I became interested in actively researching my family history, in 1999. My great-uncle is commemorated in the site, May 1918. Joy |

I work for the National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh and have recently finished helping to build a database of WW1 Scottish soldiers wills. we are still in the tidy up stage so I don't know when it will be ready to go public. A colleague is currently working on WW2 wills. As soon as I know when they are ready to go public, I will post it on the site. Linda |

the cwgc site covers both world wars. 1914-1918(.)net is a site that has incredible information about ww1. Joy |
