Does anyone know if the parish records for Longford are held in the county record office in Matlock? Katherine. |

Thanks Helen. I tried that earlier but there seems to be a problem accessing the page that holds the information. It keeps coming up as a GATEWAY TIMEOUT. I'll keep trying it - once again thanks! |

They will be at Matlock, but also try the local studies library in Irongate, Derby. Give them a ring, phone numbers are on genuki. Margaret |

Katherine http://www*.derbyshire*.gov*.uk/recordoffice/ found this website which talks about parish registers in general. Doesn't give a list of what they hold, but as they are a diocesan record office too, I think they do. Might be worth ringing to check that they have the years you want though. nell |
