Katherine http://www*.derbyshire*.gov*.uk/recordoffice/ found this website which talks about parish registers in general. Doesn't give a list of what they hold, but as they are a diocesan record office too, I think they do. Might be worth ringing to check that they have the years you want though. nell

They will be at Matlock, but also try the local studies library in Irongate, Derby. Give them a ring, phone numbers are on genuki. Margaret

Thanks Helen. I tried that earlier but there seems to be a problem accessing the page that holds the information. It keeps coming up as a GATEWAY TIMEOUT. I'll keep trying it - once again thanks!

Type Derbyshire Record Office into google and you will find their website which should tell you. nell

Does anyone know if the parish records for Longford are held in the county record office in Matlock? Katherine.
