I have only just joined Ancestry and was expecting miracles if I am honest. However it is really really slow, and so far I havent been able to view any of the 1891 original census forms. I just get an error message saying unable to view. Am I doing something wrong or does everyone have these problems? My computer is windows XP and quite new but I am on dial up not braodband. Does this make a difference to the performance? Thanks Sophie |

Hi I'm only on dial up and use windows xp and have had no problems viewing the census images on Ancestry (I'm using the free trial mentioned previously on these boards). Joanne |

Hi Sophie, I also use xp on dial up, and have subscribed to Ancestry for nearly 2 yrs, without any problems. Perhaps you could try e-mailing the support desk. Debbie |

Hi, Have you got Norton's Firewall running? I know some sites you have to turn it off before being able to access. |
