Hi everyone i have looked everywhere for my gggranddad but i cant find him. Frederick Henry King born around 1870ish in Bristol so he said in the 1901 census ,married twice first wife Mary Jane Britton. Any ideas please. Thank you Lita

Thank you Shirley i have found that but thats about all i cant find them on the 1891 census or even Mary Janes birth. I have been searching for 5 years now but i will never give up. Thank you Shirley for your help.

Hi Crista the certificate has father as dead no first name but gives profession as french polisher but its funny he new his dads profession but not his name?Any ideas ?

Hi again father on marriage says father of Mary Jane was Richard Britton and i think she was born in Exeter ?

He was living in Exeter she was in a hospital then she died in 1903 he remarried straight after.

pro ref rg13 38 Amythea st exeter should have read smythen st exeter frederick King 32 general labourer born Bristol william king 7 born bristol jenney king 3 born exeter my grandad was living with the women he later married after his first wife died jane blatchley who turned out to be my grandmother very confusing!

Lita, He is 32 on the 1901 census so that makes him born in 1868/69. Lita, Have you looked at 1837online for the births? FreeBMD has very little coverage for the late 1860s so you won't find them on there. Crista

I also have his second marriage certificate and on that one which is 1903 he is still 32 and his father was also called Frederick so why did he not know that at his first marriage all very strange? I think he told porky pies.

He put 22 that was 1890 they were living at 5 new street st jude bristol they had a son in december1890 but he died by then they were living at 17 Great George Street Bristol, another son called William was born after that in Bristol but i still have not found his birth just too many around that time . Not doing very well am i! But thank you for all your help Crista
