just looked at the site and came up with quite a few with my maiden name.but they were mainly victims...phew!!! susie

Hi Aileen, Great site. Put one of my surnames in and came up with a 1755 theft and burglary crime and he was sentenced to Death! Don't actually know if he was a relative yet. Bit different these days is'nt it, they would probably get away with a few months in a cushy cell! Maggie

Thanks for that . I do a lot of research for folk in my work looking for convicts who were transported to Australia, so it may help. Lin

Just saw this and thought I'd mention it.....www(.)oldbaileyonline(.)org.....it gives proceedings from 1674-1834 so could be of help or at least a good read!
