Hi George, After a bit of struggle, I've found your Fred Martin. Again, a transcription error made things difficult and he's listed in the index as Frederick MARLIN. Here are the details: Sarah SMITH, Head, Widow, 82, b. Worcestershire Frederick MARTIN, Grand Son, Single 17, Grocers assistant, b. Warwickshire B'ham. Living at 103 Cheapside, Aston, Birmingham Did you know beforehand that Sarah Smith was his grandmother, then?

That looks like him, have passed the info onto the lady I'm doing it for, and will let you know what her response was. George

The only other comment I was going to make is that Inkberrow is a village in Worcestershire not Warwickshire as the 1881 census seems to suggest. So, the birth place of Worcestershire for Sarah Smith on the 1891 census would seem to make more sense.
