Could yopu please do me a huge favour and look up two names for me from the Warwick census? The first is John Jones, he may have been a steel toymaker in Aston. The second is John Herrick. His middle initial may or may not be 'D', and his occupation was either brickmaker or 'cork sock manufacturer'. I'd really appreciate knowing just how many John Herricks there were. The one I'm looking for should be in Birmingham/Aston/Edgbaston. Sorry this is so unspecific, I only learnt about them today when their offsprings' marriage certificate arrived! |

Hi, could you look up a name for me on the Warwick census, if you have a moment? I'm looking for Thomas SPEARS, aged 21 or thereabouts, living in the Aston/Birmingham area. His occupation ought to be Brass Founder or some slight variation on that title. He got married to Elizabeth BARNES in June of 1851 so he may or may not be living with his parents. Thanks Andy. |

Hello Meryl, could you have a quick look if you can find Thomas Davies, labourer born Plymouth and his wife Mary, born Ireland. Thomas was born in approx 1821 and Mary born in approx 1811 (cradle snatcher!!). I know it is a common name, and if I have not given you enough info, please don't waste your time looking. Thank you. Carol. |

Meryl, Any chance that you could check the Norfolk 1851 census for a James Dickerson who would be 5 or 6 years of age at this time having been born in 1846. I think that he is my great great grandfather. Hopfully the census will show his parents and any other family members. I am aware that a number of people have already requested your help and that this will take your valuable time but should you assist I would be more than pleased. Jim P.s. I forgot to add that in 1851 the family were residing in Swaffam, Norfolk. |
