Thanks Margaret,Im really made up!wondered if you had seen any of theese sites? they have some cracking photos on them www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool www.merseyviews and try reflections liverpool.Dont suppose you know which munitions factory your Mum was based at?.Unfortunately none of my negatives are of the whole photo albumn that I mistakenly threw out in March all stuff pre 1960 gutted about that

I print my b&w negatives using an Epson Perfection 1240U scanner using the optional film adapter. Well, only print some of them, they all go onto CD archive storage. Some of my negatives are half-plate and date from before 1920. The positives have been lost for years and processing using the pc means this is the first time they have been seen for decades. These I just drop straight onto the scanner and it works ok. I process all sizes of negatives, the majority being my own b&w and colour 35mm negative film. Using a photo programme such MGI Photosuite4, the pictures can be adjusted and enhanced etc.

I posted a message on this board a couple of weeks ago(cant find it now) asking for advice about looking at old negatives without having to get them all developed.Someone suggested I buy a scanner(cant remember who).Bought one today and Im delighted with results,have spent hours looking at them,some Ive never seen before others I can recall but the origanal has disapeared,so far Ive only found 70s negs hoping to find earlier ones.Thanks very much to whoever answered my plea Kathleen
