Apparently pale mauve is supposed to be relaxing on the eyes. It is used for books re Dyslexia. Kathy Epsom, Surrey

I've just had a second look at Friends and on my computer the bit where the messages are (school lists and boards) is definitely pale green with red and blue text. Maybe it's different depending on people's monitor settings?? Lynne

Checked out the 'I don't feel 50' web page after the comments and thought I had gone mad. IT WAS BRIGHT ORANGE on the home page. Wow! The message boards are better - a delicate grey colour. I would go with that light grey. Vera Manchester LAN

Michelle Have just checked the friends site and it is defitnly pale blue. because if you think about it this site is lighter green in the middle and darker on the outside so on friends they would stick with lighter blue in the middle and darker round the edges. I refuse to believe that I am going mad. Can someone else please tell us what the colour of friends site is. Debbie

Yes I agree, blue is very soothing on the eye-blue then??

I like the colouring they use on my other favourite board www(.)idf50(.)co(.)uk which is a sort of silvery blue - very easy on the eye. I also like the way they make it so easy to see subjects and how many replies there have been. Take a look at it folks (you don't HAVE to be 50 to enjoy it) but it's not so much the subject matter, but the way it's presented that appeals to me. SEE WHAT YOU THINK and if you like it, let the powers that be know. Mary South Devon

And I thought green was supposed to be relaxing to the eyes. Knew something had changed but couldn't work out what it was.

Just a thought, what about people who are red/green colour blind? Are they able to see the red links on a green background? Crista
