Importing GEDCOM

Afternoon,

Has anyone else had problems importing a GEDCOM over the last few days?

I started to import mine last evening about 6.00pm and it still saying it's awaiting an import.

It doesn't normally take this long does it?

Don't know why I am surprised it is taking so long with all the other problems which seem to be around at the moment.

I wonder who will get theirs first?

I'm trying to export mine and nothing's happening :o( I really need it to upload to my Mother in Law's lappy before tomorrow. Looks like I will have to upload an old one then update the rest manually - bummer!

When you export GR send you an email with a gedcom.
Check you spam folder in case it has gone there - a few have found this.

With the current server problem, though is you haven't had it in 48 hours then report it ti GR as a problem. Same goes for importing, if you file is still reporting as loading after 2 days.

Yes, mine took a week to import (it usually only takes 5 minutes). I contacted GR Support after two days, and they finally fixed it yesterday.
