Hi All,

Would some kind person have a look at a marriage certificate for me to see if they can work out a profession please?

Many Thanks in advance,

Best Wishes

Had a look at the cert and it looks like masdimman ! but in the 1901 census it says he is a master baker.

Hi Victoria
If you haven't got an answer yet, I will have a look for you. Can't promise anything but willing to try.

I PM'd my reply to Victoria but for the benefit of discussion

I think it says
masterman

Not sure what one of those is - as previously pointed out he was a master baker in the 1901 census

On the certificate Sidney is a confectioner

I think the squiggle in the middle of masterman is a t; look at the t in confectioner.

Many Thanks for all your replies.

It more than likely says Masterman for master baker.

Many Thanks again
