Looking on Google Maps there is a Thorn Road in Oldham, which I suppose might have been called Thorn Street at one time.

hi carter
i live in shaw nr oldham. you mention on your grandparents marriage cert,st pats church, which is roman catholic.the chances are that thorn st was in the st marys area of oldham. st marys was under a vast clearence area in early 60s.some of the original streets still remain, but on checking the greater manchester street guide, there is no thorn st in oldham.st pats does still exist on union st west. i have a 1909 map of oldham. if it is of use to you i can check for thorn st.
kind regards
