Uploading GEDCOM files

I keep all my tree in Legacy and then use the data to update my website and Genes reunited and Findmypast etc.
I have recently added a new brnach with several 100 people.
It appears that if I upload a new gedcom file it overwrites my existing tree in Genes. Is there any way to append.
If I overwrite the tree, then I lose where I have manually changed names to "living" for some who I either don't have permission to disclose or who do not want to appear in the tree.
Does anyone know some way around this?

Thanks
Kylie

It will always overwrite your exisiting Genes Tree. Can you 'privatise' your Gedcom before uploading it? I know you can on FTM but don't know about Legacy.

Yes - but I use the files for my other website where I don't want the information private... so then I have to change them back again.
Oh well.

Thanks for your feedback.
