He has gone, he is no longer in contacts and has just confirmed it with me.

Dear Jill,

I am a great fan of your poetry and will carry a pot of honey with me when I next visit the Harvester......for the peas...

I have been practising with the remote whilst OH was up the pub......and managed to miss the end of The Archers........but could get Countryfile.......but had to suffer politicians until he came home.... onwards and upwards.....

Class will open at 10pm or shortly after as Madam Charm is going to watch Casualty 1907.

Deanna - I'm glad all went well. Your son sounds absolutely charming. You are a lucky woman. Remember the old adage:

I think that was by Edward Lear. Your homework for today is to add a line or two about peas and cleavages.



Wild Cat - please. Gently, calmly. I know Keith is dreadfully badly behaved but he will learn. You can teach an old dog new tricks after all.


Judie - you are very quiet. Are you needing instruction in any of the ways of the world?


Sally Moonchild. You need to practice in the use of the remote when your OH is not around. Then, next time, when you have provided coffee and choccie digestives you will be well versed in the use of said instrument and will be in charge. Make a stand for womankind. We will retain control of the remote.

Well your answers came to late for my meal, but I thank you for them anyway.

I decided not to order soup, and went immediately for the steak.
My son has to cut my meat for me, as I have a very weak wrist..... and his manners are so impeccable that even without your advice he informs the surrounding area of diners that I am out for the day with my NURSE!!

I was very good and used my knife for my peas, and dropped very few of them on the floor and down my bra.

Had a lovely day out, and thank you for your advice.

I tried your suggestion of giving OH a cup of tea and a couple of Rich Tea's to dunk.......you are right.......he was completely flummoxed......especially as he never drinks tea and is partial to Digestives......chocolate covered preferred.....

His attention was momentarily diverted from the remote, and I was able to secrete it down my jogging bottoms.......unfortunately it is so long since I have had possession of this remote, that I have completely lost the ability to work it......

......so I gave it back, drank the tea, ate the biscuits......and he is smiling at me.....
