Hello everybody,

Thank you so much for all your love and prayers. Today has been emotionally exhausting, but I can tell you that with all the support both here,and from my wonderful family, I managed to get through the eulogy to Mum, and didn't need anybody to take over. There were so many people there to pay their last respects to Mum. I have to honest and say that I couldn't look at anybody. I took the tip from our funeral director, and just either looked ahead or down at what I was reading. At least at the crematorium, I could let the emotion out. Everything went so well, and I'm sure that if Mum was looking down, she would have been proud of us all.

Mum is at peace now, reunited with Dad and her 2 boys Graham & Douglas. We can now move forward again in our lives, but I know we will have our ups and downs.

i was a useless wreck at my mams funeral, no help to my poor dad at all,
i couldnt of spoken to anyone let alone read for her,

your mam was watching dwn on you in fact im sure she stood right beside you arms round you,
you brave girl,

take your time and come to terms with it all
it may take years,
i still have dreams about mam now, think of her every day,
thinking of you
hope we can all help you in some way

I thought of you this morning at about 11.30, as I was doing the Post Out at work. Wondered how you were doing.
As I said yesterday, I'll bet your Mum, Dad, Graham and Douglas were right with you. It sounded a lovely ceremony.

Hello Pauline,
I've just lit a candle for your Mum. I haven't been on for a couple of days, not been feeling too good, so didn't realise the funeral was today. So pleased that you managed to get through the reading, it is a daunting thing to do. I read a poem out at my Mum's funeral, everyone said that I was brave to do it. I'd managed to hold myself together since the day she had died and knew that I had to read this particular poem out as it was one of her favourites, but when it came to the cemetary I lost it after the coffin had gone into the ground. If you want I'll send you the poem as it is so beautiful.
