I feel as if I am in need of a break for a week or so, before the summer school holidays.

I hate the Med with a passion - cant be bothered with brits abroad, john smiths and wide screen sky telly showing repeats of old premier league football matches whilst the karaokes on.

So I thought I would take a UK break - my mate says I can borrow his 18 month old luxury camper van - its definetely the bees knees of campers.

Just can't decide where to go to, though. I thought maybe the Scottish Isles - thought about Cornwall but last time I went there it was a 16 hour drive and I was demented.

ANy good ideas?

West Wales has some gorgeous beaches and interesting little market towns - excellent local food and country pubs, and of course, friendly Welsh inhabitants - now I'm just off Jct 32 of the M4 - no doubt you'll be travelling on that and you can come and visit on your way!!

The Cotswolds - 'Chippings and Slaughters and Tweeness-upon-the-Waters' (according to Bill Bryson!). Very pretty, lots of good pubs, even a bit of polo if you fancy it..!

Dont plan just head north when you come to a dead end go south...Stop off anywhere that looks interesting, pub grub is always a pretty good bet for a meal..Take your compass and dont forget a piece of string and a pencil..Have fun be spontaneous..

I don't think it actually matters where you go, especially as you have such a wonderful vehicle to take you there, and stay in once you arrive, lol.... most parts of this beautiful country of ours are just perfect, in my opinion.... Just put a pin in your map and off you go... if you don't like it, hitch up your skirts and move on to the next pin in the map!!

Perfect holiday!!
