Well finally managed to telephone Joyce and she is home and full of life again. No wonder I couldn't find her telephone number - she isn't in the book. The same again goes for her e-mails, she seems to have a different e-mail address now.

Hi all,
I seem to have missed Joyce going into hospital. I couldn't find her telephone number or I would have rung her. I will ring her tomorrow, as being in the Netherlands is not expensive to phone, especially Sundays!
I'll let you all know what Joyce says tomorrow.

As I gather you have been in hospital, but I still don't know why. What has been wrong and how is Jan?

Glad you liked the flowers.
You must really try to do as the doctors say this time, no more sweeties on the table...( I am a great one to talk, I eat an enormous amount to choc. sweets etc every day-not allowed at all) Please take more care of yourself, as we all can't miss your 'Yorkshire/Liverpool', wonderful humour/advice etc. Love it!
You will enjoy your grandaughters visit. They obviously love you and want to see you,so enjoy!
I agree with you whole-heartedly, they are a great/wonderful bunch here-to be treasured.

Hello everyone just poped on to say thank you, all im speechless to see all the messages thank you and Eileen the flowers were loverly what anice thought ,wont be on probley for few days as im so tired and i think in two or three weeks my two g.daughters are coming over they wanted to come while i was in hospital,but told them no its not fair on them they both have mortages and Rachel has two young children,but see how things go,but thank you once again i always said you were agreat bunch of people,and Rod if you see this thank you for your telephone call your one nice man,take care all back on soon,and to my pals,Caz,Liz,Vicky cant name you all but you no
