Whether they did this as "celebrities" on a radio station or whether they are ordinary Joe's off the street the fact remains they have overstepped the mark a crime has been committed they must be punished - shows what ar land as come to when people see the likes of these as "role models" and put them forward as the best that can be offered !! I also feel it'snot so much as what they said but to whom they said it - the person they aimed their cheap jibes at. Andrew Sachs is a much loved entertainer who the British viewing public have taken to their hearts as the hapless Manuel in Fawlty Towers. He is an old man and they ridiculed not only him but his precious grand-daughter. He never had to resort to puerile filth to get laughs, he was all for family viewing and we all loved him and still do. Jonathon Ross has daughters - he should have been more sensitive towards an old man - old enough to be his father

The only person who has come through this with any dignity is Andrew Sachs. He hasn't made lots of fuss and has accepted their apologies.
Personally I can't stand either of them at any price and wouldn't be sad if Ross resigned like Brand did.

I don't care whether the programme was aired or not, or who their victim was - the point is they committed a criminal act!! Even if the programme wasn't aired, Andew Sachs would still have had those obscene messages on his phone. Anyone else would have been prosecuted.
ross is to be suspended without pay - and the poor wee lamb will lose nearly a million - so work out how much this talentless immature plank earns a year - this is our licence money. Is he worth it?
Apparently he and Brand are attracting younger viewers to the BBC - unfortunately for the BBC, there are more people over 40 than under 40 in this country - so who's paying the majority of licence money? Certainly not 'the youth'!
Do we really want the younger generation attracted to such immature morons? - you too can do as we do talk about sex and make obscene phone calls!
If they got rid of Ross, just think how many interesting programmes the BBC could produce on his wages alone!!
