I AM WRITING THIS AS I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HOW PROUD I AM OF MY FOUR CHILDREN.BUT MY ELDEST I AM JUST SO PROUD OF WHAT HE HAS ACHEIVED.

YOU SEE 5 YEARS AGO HE WAS TOLD HE HAD A VERY RARE FORM OF CANCER ONE THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT AND ONLY ABOUT 1 PERSON IN THE COUNTRY A YEAR IS DIOGNOSED WITH IT .

HE HAS NOT GIVEN IN TO IT EVEN WHEN THEY TOLD HIM 2 YEARS AGO HE HAD 3 BRAIN TUMORS.THEY TOOK HIM IN AND OPERATED AND TOOK THEM OUT .BECAUSE HE HAD OPEN BRAIN SURGERY HIS LICENCE WAS TAKEN OFF OF HIM. AS HE IS MARRIED WITH CHILDREN HE NEEDED THE CAR AS HE LIVES IN A REMOTE PART OF THE COUNTRY.

WHAT IM GETTIMG AT IS HE HAS GONE THROUGH HELL AND ALTHOUGH HE WILL NEVER GET RID OF THE CANCER HE HAS DETERMINATION AND WILL NOT TO LET IT GET HIM .

WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME HOW HE IS A FEW TIMES I HAVE HAD TO TELL THEM THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO FOR HIM.CAN YOU IMAGINE AS A PARENT HEARING THAT.

MY POINT IS NEVER GIVE UP.

TODAY HE IS 40 A BIRTHDAY WE THOUGHT HE WOULD NEVER REACH.
HE HAS HIS BAD DAYS BUT IS HAVING A LOT OF GOOD DAYS AS HE IS TAKING EXPERIMENTAL TABLETS AND SO FAR SO GOOD.

I HOPE YOU DIDNT MIND ME WRITING THIS BUT I JUST FELT I WANTED TO TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE HOW PROUD OF HIM I AM. I HAVE TOLD HIM LOTS OF TIMES.

Hope no one minds me updating this one year on.

Well my son has made it through another year ,although not very well at the moment.He has lost a lot of weight and is desperatly trying to put some back on as they can,t try any more chemo untill he has.
He is still fighting and always will .

I wish they could find some chemo to help but it all seems trials ,thats all they can offer as its so rare and now it has spread a little.

Am going to spend a few days with him next week although i suspect he will be in bed a lot of the time but at least i will be there.

Fight on my brave son and hopefully i can do this again next year.

Hello Bighen.... I remember reading this, last year.... I didn't reply.... I was fighting my own fight at the time, and just couldn't. But your post gave me hope.... I was very positive myself, but that slips every so often, as you probably know. Your son's fight against the odds helped me so much.

My thoughts and prayers go with you, and with him. Bless you both.

Thank you all so much for your reply's it gives me strength to know others that you don't know personaly are thinking of you.

And to Daff hope your fight is over and if not i send you my love and will think about you often.Please let me know how you are getting on now and again.
