GB - I shan't ask if you threw anything at Tom Jones but I remember the stories ...

OH and I went to see The Jersey Boys last year - fabulous! You were so lucky seeing Frankie Valli for real!

In no particular order
Tom Jones
Chuck Berry
Glen Campbell
Gene Pitney - 3 times
David Essex - 3 times
Frankie Vali and 4 Seaons

Loads more but they were the best.

Tom Jones was 3 times the cost of ticket to see Chuck Berry

mind you, you've got to be out of it to stomach the long-drops (loos) there!! wonder if they still have the same thing or if it's moved on to portaloos now?!
oh and it was hot and sunny both times - no mud!!
just gonna watch the highlights on Football First, so logging out now. COYS!!

Illegal substances of the day........

I still have my "drawing" of

"My people were fair
And wore stars in their hair
But now they're content
To have holes in their jeans"

And I thought it was a masterpiece at the time....

Oh, the arrogance of youth!

yes I would have been 19 in 1982, I thought I remembered you saying you were coming up to the big 4oh lol.

I did also go to Glastonbury twice in the mid 80s but can't remember very much about either weekend ;-)) I do remember seeing Ladysmith Black Mambazo and they were brilliant, but can't think for the life of me who else was on, I was a bit out of it most of the time, to put it mildly pmsl

xxxxx

ps great result today COYS !!!

EDIT
just looked at the Glastonbury site, deffo was there in 1983, I remember King Sunny Ade and UB40 now. think it must have been 1984 I went as well - Ian Drury which rings a very faint bell. would love to see the new film with Andy Serkis playing him.

Way back in the 1970s when I was a very young teenager:-

Genesis (before Phil Collins but cannot think of the name of the lead singer at the time but he wore a mask like a fox's head).
Joan Baez
Ralph McTell (I think ...)
Family

A bit later:
Tina Turner (wore me out just watching her - so much energy)
Brian May

And a few more ...

And several obscure groups, one of whom became well known, but I cannot remember who they were ...
