OK I have narrowed it down. It is now down to either the ex drummer from Blur or Mr Permatan with the white teeth.....hmmmmm.....

if they don't, then Labour will carry on and fix another election asap, I think, but that could take a year or 2.

If there is no party with a clear majority a few things COULD happen...but it all depends on how many seats short of a majority we are talking about really...

It's down to the party in power to try and form a new government.IF there is no clear winner..soooo...Gordon Brown could form an alliance with the Lib Dems (should they agree to it) and have a coalition government ...so there's a chance we'd still have Brown as PM.

OR the Conservatives if they are only a few short seats short and the above doesn't happen... COULD try to rule as a minority party but it wouldn't last very long.

OR...most unlikely imho...the Conservatives COULD form an alliance with the Lib Dems...or even more unlikely...Labour.

Of course this is only going on what the polls are saying today. I read today that something like 4 in 10 have yet to decide so really the truth is ANYTHING could happen x

another thing thats wrong, its not on how many votes are won, its how many seat are won.

Blimey this is where it gets tricky to explain LOL..(and I did have a likkle google about to find a good way of explaining it...and this seems to be the easiest way..though I haven't c and p'd it...)

Ok. For example (cos i don't want to be party political)

You have 3 parties in the election...dogs cats and rabbits. ...they have 3 constituencies (so therefore 3 seats in parliament are up for grab) each constituency has 100 voters.

In the first one the Cats get 40 votes Dogs 30 votes and rabbits 30 votes then the cats would win it.

In the second one you get the same result...cats 40 dogs 30 and rabbits 30...so cats would win again.

In the third one though Cats only get 10 Dogs get 10 BUT rabbits get 80...Rabbits would win this seat

The Cats have won more seats than the rabbits and are in power... but in actual fact more people actually voted for the Rabbits in total...but as it's the number of seats that count...that is irrelevant xx

so it goes on not the actual vote numbers, but that actually partys voted in each area??

Yes it goes on how many seats (ie MPs) each party managed to get voted in...the party that has the majority of MPs...ie enough to be able to push through any legislation on their own without the support of the other party...then they win.

In tomorrows case they would need to win 326 seats out of 650 to get a majority x

so if i get all my friends to choose the wabbits muffy will they win xx
