I have been thinking of you Daff, a lot lately and wondering how you are. Will keep you in my thoughts. You will beat this so try to keep positive. I know thats hard. We will all be keeping positive for you too. Am here if needed even though am a long way away.

Just a thought, but is anyone copying the threads.?...just in case they get accidently deleted


Not long before Daffy went in, I asked her why she stayed On GR....She said that her thread and the posters including all she had met and spoken to, were what was helping her to keep going. She was overwhelmed by so much caring......I have to say that when she gets better she will get more than a lump in her throat when she reads all the posts of support. bless her little cotton socks.

Daff Today at 19:22 Request review

A mixed but positive day today. Daff continues to recover from the sedatives, but is not there yet - more arm/leg and facial activity but still can't open her eyes or control anything. No speech.
Ventilator remains but the dialysis machine has been removed as she is dealing with basic toxins herself presently. There is still some fluid on the chest, so vent will remain for now, and at the current level (rather than being reduced further).
Responding to discomfort and there's obvious (to me, anyway!) frustration that she can't currently do anything about what's happening.
She's had an echo scan on the heart (results awaited), and a new central line was put in this afternoon, so medico's obviously plan to continue using both lines for the time being.

Overall, remains stable and slowly recovering from sedation. Discomfort from this no doubt, but being closely monitored. Various drugs still being given to control various aspects.

Slowly, slowly.....
