And if you haven't...would you give them a try?

The reaction to the fact I had Pigs cheeks for my dinner tonight (remember I said I was going to try different cuts of meat?) has made me giggle !!!!!

They're actually quite tasty.....like very tender bits of braising steak really.

I'd get them again x

Muffyxx Report 9 Mar 2012 21:13

I'm not sure Annabel.....I'd never heard of them before....they were just on offer at the supermarket on the day I'd decided to try different cuts of meat and branch out a bit lol x

***They ARE really nice aren't they Jane? Underrated I think as they're much nicer than some of the dearer cuts I've eaten x

AnninGlos Report 9 Mar 2012 21:15

I haven't eaten them but I would. I have eaten and quite liked (many many years ago) pigs trotters, chitterlings, heart, eat fairly regularly kidneys and liver so cheek wouldn't be something to put me off.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 9 Mar 2012 21:21

I'm a bit squeamish at things that LOOK like they are ....trotters for example...and I don't gnaw at chicken on the bone..though I'd pull the meat off it an shove it in a curry etc...but these were like little medallions of meat....didn't make me feel squeamish at all !! x
