Yes, I've just spent a convivial couple of hours at my own place of worship, where the communion wine was particularly nice today.

We also listend to the Very Revered Tim Minchin and The Most Excellent Eddie Izzard on youtube at the Reason Rally last month. And verily, 'twas most humorous. And lo, we did drink more wine and made free with the holy porky toenails thingys and thence did drink more wine of the good Reverend Smith. And all waseth good. And there waseth a great moral to thith thtory.

When one hath drunketh theven pints of communion wine, it ith not a goodeth idea to eat an eathter egg.

Here endeth the lethon.

just got home from dinner at the golf club - a buffet - had mussels & prawns, then PORK, BEEF & LAMB with vegies, then pavlova.

Yes, I know it's Easter. So did everyone else there :-D

I grew up in one of the most sectarian areas of UK. I was friends with two girls in the same street, but we knew not to let our parents know. I was with them one day when they "froze"........ the priest was coming up the street. I ran and hid. Ofcourse he asked them who I was, they said they didn't know, must be a visitor. They told me they would have to confess to lying to a priest, but joked that they hoped it wouldn't be the same one who saw me. I was 9, the other girls were about 8 & 9.

Terrible way for children to live. My family moved to Australia when I was 12. I've often wondered how the sisters grew up.

Okay Eldrick my friend.....I think this dialogue has run its course

I know that science is wonderful and that there are constant new discoveries, but I am inadequate to answer your scientific theories and it may be better for you to look at the Christians in Science website and discuss things with people who are more familiar with your type of query and argument.

There are scientists who are Christians, so I guess someone will be able to hold an interesting conversation with you.

Meanwhile, I will move on...........Maundy Thursday and time for church....

See you around......Cyn. :-D

Actually, no, Im a Val Doonican man myself, but it's difficult to get all profound when Delaneys Donkey and Walk Tall are all you have to work with.
