My daughter, when she was very young, always thought that the word "sorry" was an automatic get out of jail free card.
She was very young then and did not understand the intricacies of life and the damaging effect a comment can have on someone both personally and in the wider scheme of things

When the little ones at school do something to hurt or upset someone we always make sure they understand why what they did wrong and that saying sorry is important, but more important is trying really hard not to do it again.

99% learn really quickly

Saying sorry is easy but really meaning in your heart that you are truly sorry is something totally different.

As my old dad always said, actions speak louder than words. Anyone can say the words but your actions show you are truly sorry.

Can't see actions on here can we, you have to accept when an apology is made that it is said in faith.

maggiewinchester Report 25 Apr 2013 23:37

Ah - but on here, it's what happens AFTER the sorry.
Does the apologiser carry on the same way or not.???

Would just like to say thank you to all those who have respected my request at the beginning of this thread that it does not become argumentative
