Thank you ladies. Kind of you to reply. My late wife got FOUR alarm clocks for £1 at our local what is now a 99p shop (and a rival has opened nearby at 97pence).

Thank you girls - and here was me thinking I would be deluged with complaints about the hassle of Christmas and presents generally Think i was quoting my dear late wife in the poem - the book she kept about cards and presents is frightening.
