Hi everyone :-D :-D :-D

I thought I would have a change from the usual stuffing so we will be having Cranberry, orange & roasted chestnut stuffing instead.

Why do we always "" spring"" clean for xmas, I am worn out but a happy camper

:-D :-D :-D :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 20 Dec 2013 15:53

Afternoon all, we had a sunny and 'brisk' day here, quite spring like this morning although a bit on the chilly side.

AnnCardiff Report 20 Dec 2013 16:03

Paxo stuffing - yuk yuk yuk :-(

make your own, it's so easy - breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, thyme, seasoning and all bound together with butter - easy peasy. You can add crumbled chestnuts if you have some, or anything else you can think of

and when you roast your turkey, fill the cavity up with an apple, an orange, an onion - helps to keep it moist and gives it flavour

GinN

GinN Report 20 Dec 2013 16:23

Ooh! sorry Ann, but we like our Paxo with extra onions - I'd have a riot if I did anything else! I do put an onion and/or a lemon in the cavity, though, and only stuff the neck end. :-D :-) :-) :-D

GinN

GinN Report 20 Dec 2013 16:25

Barb - I think we do extra cleaning before Christmas so we have extra time to slob out over the holidays and have lots of nosh and squiffettes! :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 20 Dec 2013 16:31

I actually like paxo stuffing, sometimes use the different ones to the normal sage and onion. I have made my own like Ann's though but prefer paxo. I never stuff the actual bird though always cook the stuffing separately. I do put something (apple, orange or lemon) in the cavity though. But shan't be doing this year as son is cooking. :-D

BarbinSGlos Report 20 Dec 2013 16:31

Does anyone like the word partner on a card, when one is actually a wife? or is it just me?? :-S
