I am not quite understanding your reasoning H. Am I to understand that you and others condone the portrayal of children in compromising positions?.....Is it funny? Hmmm!!.......This type of joke relies on visualising a young girl doing something.......If you or anyone else think that is funny.....well!

I think this thread needs to be left alone now. Whatever anyone thinks re the joke I know that Michael has enough to contend with in his life just now.

Maybe in other circumstances I would comment differently but I didn't see the joke and would ask other members not to turn this thread into an argument

I did not see the joke

I responded to the fact that Michael was upset at being RR'd and was about to leave.

I don't think anyone saw the OP, apart form the RR'er and apparently Susanwiv numbers

so none of us can comment on Susan's post.

If Susan is also the RR'er, then we know why it was RR'd ................ and I agree that it was probably justified.

However, I also agree with Wendy that it is time to end this thread, and do no more postings

Actually Sylvia.....no I wasn't the RRer.....but yes I did see the so called Joke and was putting across a point of view as to why I thought it inappropriate .....

Do I have to be the RRer just because nobody else seems to have seen it?.....if nobody else saw it.....why are so many against its deletion and commenting on something they didn't see? Sheesh!....forgive me for my opinion and the poor RRer who has been called names over something others didn't see but felt it necessary to run the RRer down about

.........And forgive me for sounding harsh but I don't see what a persons personal circumstances has to do with posting iffy jokes.......iffy jokes are iffy jokes whoever posts them and whatever their circumstances.

Susan

I actually agree that there are certain posts that should be RR'd ................... I RR homophobic and racist posts in particular

as I said, I did not see that post, it had been RR'd before I came on

BUT I did note that Michael was very upset, threatening not to post again ............... and I was trying to get over to him that most everyone has been RR'd at some point, but that he should not threaten to leave or stop posting because of it.

I was trying to get him to realise that he should carry on ................... possibly modify what he posts if he has found that something he's posted upsets someone, or is against GR guidelines, but not to throw a paddy.

I only said IF you were the RR'er, then your explanation of the OP explained why you had done it.
