Talking about splinters Sharron, this one might make you smile.. he,he ;-)

Pinocchio had a human girlfriend who would sometimes complain about splinters when they were having sex. Pinocchio, therefore, went to visit Gepetto to see if he could help.

Gepetto suggested he try a little sandpaper wherever indicated and Pinocchio skipped away enlightened.

A couple of weeks later, Gepetto saw Pinocchio bouncing happily through town and asked him,
"How's the girlfriend?"
Pinocchio replied, "Who needs a girlfriend?"

Ahhh well, I tried :-(

On a sad note however, we came across a death entry for Pinnochio in GR`s Church records.
It states he was "buried in Woollen".

(Probably didn`t want to be interred in a coffin encased by relatives).

I think Pinocchio might belong in my tree. I have some Woodheads in it, in fact as recently as my grandmother.

Mr M - I think you mean PooH sticks.

...poo sticks are a totally different matter, and if that is what Christopher Robin threw off the bridge, he is a VERY dirty boy!!!!!

And now for the Joke you`ve all been waiting for, lets see who will take "a fence" at it, he,he, :-D :-D

Pinocchio had been searching for his parents for several years with no success. One day, as he was wandering through the woods, he happened upon a squirrel. They struck up a conversation, and finally Pinocchio got around to asking the squirrel, “Do you know who my parents are?”

The squirrel replied, “I don’t know the answer, but the wisest animal in these woods is the owl, and you should ask him.”

Pinocchio searched around and finally found the owl. He asked, “Do you know who my parents are?”

The owl was stumped. He said, “You should consult someone who really knows trees, and the finest expert in this field is the woodpecker.”

Pinocchio found the woodpecker and asked him if he knew who his parents were.

The woodpecker replied, “Well, it was a long time ago. I can’t remember the full details. Your father was either a son of a beech or a son of a birch, but your mother was the finest piece of ash I ever had my pecker in.”

I`ll shut the door after me xx :-(

Thanks for all your input folks... what a lovely bunch of people you are.
I bough to your extreme knowledge.
Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear once laid claim that Pinocchio had roots within Five Hundred Acre Wood.
I think they are barking up the wrong tree though.
