just come back off my 2 and a half mile walkies, first one since you know when. I cant believe its been 5 months. :-0
We got married 51 yrs ago today and the temperature then was 8 below freezing and we ran full tit into a snow drift blocking the road on the way back home from the reception.
Its like a spring day here today. I came back in the house sweating cobs, Its so mild out there.

we were being driven home from the reception (after midnight) along an ill lit road and there was a blizzard blowing and we ran full tilt at speed right into a 3ft snow drift blocking the road. :-D

The driver, an uncle, was pretty intoxicated at the time, he was further impaired because he only had one eye to see out of.
wasn`t very funny at the time, but we have had many a laugh about it since over the following years. :-D :-D :-D

Budgie at least the snow didn't stop you from having a proper wedding! When I got married in February '79, it was so bad that everything was cancelled apart from the ceremony! :-( ;-)

Wish I had known you lot were partial to Banana cake.
I baked a massive Banana and Pineapple cake just before Christmas. No one here would touch it, said it looked burnt.
It did look darkish brown but I was under the impression it was due to the cinnamon and the surface becoming a little caramelised.
Had to eat it all myself, Took me nearly a week....BUT..
