Sharron

Sharron Report 23 Jan 2014 21:45

On a Tuesday, Fred and his mate roll on down to the end of our road and catch the bus running south to the village where the café is.

On a Wednesday they catch the bus running to a village in another direction that passes by our house to have the sausage sandwich.

On a Thursday they again roll on down the road to catch the bus to the café.

Today, they were rolling on down there when Fred asked his mate how he thought Chichester might be today.

They found out because they caught the bus into town and went into Wetherspoons.

Now, this is very pleasing for me. Fred is still looking for different experiences and is thinking up for himself. I am proud, this is what I was aiming for when I was told by the OT that he would only ever go out on foot or by taxi.

I wanted him to still have a life.

You've worked wonders and you have every right to be proud of yourself.

Well done Fred, I sometimes think the health professionals sometimes look at the date of birth of a patient and anyone over 65 is written off :-(

I have been a bit worried about him for a week or so because I thought he was losing it a bit.

Seems like he was just bored!

Well done to Fred and especially to his mate who is such a support to him, what a good pal to have.

I think you have done wonders too Sharron, and to think you could have written Fred off the way the hospital did, it's all the more inspiring that you encouraged him to have a life beyond the four walls of his room.

Keep up the good work between you

Good old Fred - you can't keep a good man down, and you Sharron, you are a diamond :-) <3

This does not surprise me Sharron because of the support
you and his mate give him, it could only rub off onto him and
give him the feeling of trying to get out and about for new
adventures. You go Fred <3

I have a big pot outside that is full of sage plants and I very rarely use sage because I don't actually like it.

It does grow well though. Well, it would wouldn't it?!

Anyway, a woman he is friendly with up the road wants some.

The best I can think of for tomorrow is to get his mate to put a sage plant in a little pot so they can deliver it to her.

Unless he has thought of something else he needs to do!

There are not many flowers in the garden for him to take.
