Thanks folks for all the advice...and support you have given me...
Not had any trouble since,but am aware that he is in his house alone.
There is something that happened that I believe did me a favour....
I was looking to see if there was a light on the other night,or had he gone to daughters.
It was dark and I went into the downstairs bedroom where my husband had slept when he was so ill..don't like going in there too much except to clean,but I kept light off so he couldn't see me.Saw a chink of light,,but more importantly,heard a drip drip.and found a leak in roof dripping on to window ledge,,not too serious,but if I hadn't gone in and seen it it could have done more damage....so something good comes out of it all.Roofer coming on Monday,meanwhile keep a towel and a big Tupperware box on sill.

Brenda, so sorry to hear what is happening do be careful and check the doors and windows, we have a habit of not locking the back door got a bit of a fright the other week a neighbour came in and we never heard her it was a shock, so now I am fanatical about locking up when we are in.... I hope the police keep a close eye on him.... take care
