Shirley, Did she leave her old dail up connected? without seeing what has or has not been done its difficult to say how to put it right unless the person recieving the instruction has some basic knowledge |

having changed providers a couple of times, I feel that I have been misled, because it seems that if you have a slow BT line, no matter what the providers say.....our router is quicker than your old one.... |

When she plugs the new wireless modem in she no longer has her telephone , its dead. Even if she plugs in at the main telephone point |

It will work with out the filter but the phone line will be noisy, Thats what the filter is their for |

The basic setup is, The wireless Router should plug into the 13amp wall socket for power then their should be a filter that plugs into the wall phone socket, then the phone and router plugs into the filter, the only difference is when you have "intranet" which is what the thicker yellow cable is for and is normaly discarded |
