Now listen here, Uzzi, don't you go worrying us all, get yourself checked out asap. Pointless suffering a sore throat and trepidation when a quick checkup could sort the problem, maybe you need antibiotics.

My son has had an ulcer in his throat/back of his mouth for a while and the doc couldn't see why, gave him antibiotics, and it sort of cleared up then came back, and his gf had mouth ulcers for a while too and had antib's from her doc. Son stll has a sore throat so the doc thinks it is a blocked salivary gland but has booked him for an xrayor scan , on March 7th. Can't remember exactly what he said over the phone, the signal is so bad here but I will see him next week and find out more then.

Keep us posted, the sooner the better eh?

Yeah yeah I know I ought to go but it´s such a flaff arranging to see a Doc and me and Pepe at the farmacia don´t exactly get on. (legacy of Mother dear) mind I might pop to the farmacia along the road as they speak English.
Will let you all know what they say ..well when I make it there. !

Uzzi do it soon. might be a good idea to do what Kay says and stop the spray to see what happens/improves.Re Liz's post and the lump on your jaw. I am pretty certain the salivary gland is on your jaw. That doesn't mean you can just not go. Does your doc speak English?

mmmm now that´s the problem see, I don´t know if my doc speaks English because I don´t have a doc here and I am not yet registered in this area. (although we should have been but an hic-up with transferring everything has cost us time).
*shrugs* this is Spain Manana I can trundle up to the hospital and be seen so might do that.

edit to say I have stopped using the spray from yesterday and the lumpy thing is under the jaw and is very likely gland and has gone down a wee bit.

Whatever you do don't press it to see if it is any bigger, pressing it will make it bigger.

Uzzi go to 'Urgencias' they will have to see you. Are you in the spanish medical system if not take your passport to prove who you are.

I hope that your next post will tell us that yes, you have seen someone about it
